,-ddı 1. opposite, contrary, person or thing that is the contrary of another, antithesis, antipode: Taha, Emin´in zıddı. Taha´s the opposite of Emin. Birbirinin tam zıddı olan iki şıkla karşı karşıya kaldı. He was face to face with two diametrically opposite choices. 2. antonym. 3. opposite, opposing, contrary, contradictory, antithetic, antithetical, antipodal. 4. antonymous. -ına basmak /ın/ to do exactly what (someone) does not want one to do. - düşmek /a/ (for one person or thing) to be the opposite of (another). - gitmek /la/ to persist in doing the opposite of what (someone) wants. -ına gitmek /ın/ (for something) to rile (someone), be too much for (someone) to take. Onun -ı olan şeyleri yapma! Don´t do things that get her dander up!
